For over 1.5 years I worked with Shiel and Stephanie, step by step, document by document... motions, memos....

My wife hired the best lawyer money could buy and I did the same. It was a good old fashioned gun fight. Here's what it comes down to: Shiel Edlin is feared in the courtroom and Stephanie Wilson is a perfect complement to allow him to perform. Your spouses lawyer will bluff for months, but what it will all come down to is that they will do whatever it takes to avoid trial because Shiel is a sophisticated, strategic attack dog.

He is feared. He could use some work on his bedside manner, but does this really matter? When your in the fight of your life, your life's assets are on the line, your children... Let me tell you what you need.

You need a heavy weight fighter. You need a bull dog. You need someone who's going take no prisoners. Shiel isn't cheap. Here's a news flash for you. If your estate has some money, divorce is an expensive proposition and a great lawyer isn't cheap. Shiel will tell you how much it's going to cost and you wont like it.

That doesn't make him a bad guy. His bill rate is up there with exactly what you spouse is paying their lawyer. Shiel is worth every penny. You will shudder and moan when the bill comes but you wont feel like I do until it's all over.

When you wealth is preserved and you children are still with you.

He States on his website that he is a high ssset divorce attorney. He only redid his website and made this statement after he represented my ex. He was opposing counsel in my case and subpoenaed my credit cards three different times. Then I found out that he represented a lady with limited resources and he did not even subpoena her husbands credit card once.

And her husband had a $20,000 charge at Tiffany's for his girlfriend. He was supposedly working on both cases at the same time! Haha. if you've got a lot of money as in my divorce trial, he will say and do anything.

Most of the judges know his hustle however you need to be extremely careful if he gets in front of a feckless judge. I witnessed him lie directly to a Gwinnett judge.

I would hope to keep any other families away from this vampire. Make sure you put in the subject line "Edlin is unethical" so that I can easily query.

He would hate to see me involved in your case because I can continually bring up him lying to a judge.

Just stay away. One very crooked law firm that will rip you off of every dime you have.

Terribly sad this person is allowed to practice law to any degree. He is arrogant and so full of himself. He is condescending to women and will treat you like dead meat when you disagree with him. All he wants is money money money money.

Many posters here are attorneys who have been screwed by Edlin. His partner Stern was one of the biggest crooks in the industry according to a buddy who is a lawyer as well.

Stay away from this group at ALL costs. Or, you will regret every minute and every dollar.

I personally had a great experience with Stern & Edlin, my attorney was Ms Strawser a Partner in the firm. Ms.

Strawser was 1st Class and all about business. Yes their fees are high so it can get expensive fast, but know you are in control of your bill by being a great and helpful client and knowing how you want to proceed in your divorce, every time you change your mind, change directions, call to cry on the phone it cost you money! So stop whining and admit to how you cost yourself too much money.

P.S. I check all my monthly bills from my attorneys and if there is an issue in billing I address and fix it that month, I don't let it fester...
